What is an editable SVG?
An editable SVG is vector artwork stored as real, structured path code — shapes, groups, gradients — that can be re-colored, re-shaped, and scaled to any size with no quality loss. It contrasts with a flattened or rasterized export, which is just pixels of a picture and can’t be meaningfully edited.

SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is an XML format: every shape is described by math, not pixels. Because the description is structured, software (and a person) can select a path, change its color, move a node, or resize the whole thing infinitely without blur.
The catch is that not everything called "SVG" is editable. Some tools output an SVG that merely wraps a bitmap, or flatten a design into one opaque shape — technically vector, practically un-editable. A genuinely editable SVG keeps its parts separate and named.
